She was born on 13th June, 1980 to Michael Lewe and Soraya Lewe-Tacke. She was named Sarah Marianne Corina but she is nowadays better known as Sarah Connor which she uses as her stage name. She has four sisters: Anna Maria, Marina, Sophia Luisa and Valentine, and a brother Robin. She is also a German singer, song writer and a television personality. Sarah Connor made her debut in the year 2001 under the guidance of her manager George Glueck. She later became the first solo act to have four consecutive hits topping the charts on the German Singles Chart.

Life and Education

Sarah Connor grew up as a soul music listener which was an influence by her paternal grandfather. She had her first experience in gospel music as a member of a church choir while she was very young. As a teenager Sarah Connor tried out and was accepted to join a performing arts school and even though it was a requirement for all students to choose an instrument, Connor was the only student who was allowed to study voice. She took her vocal lessons once every week and at the same time worked as a waitress in order to pay for the lessons.

In the year 1997 Sarah Connor was chosen to sing with the backing choir during the performance of “Heal the World” at Michael Jackson’s concert tour in Bremen, Germany. Elated by her meeting with Michael Jackson after the show, Connor signed a contract with her first management. This contract led to her pseudonym Sarah Gray and she was able to record a number of demo tapes including cover versions like “Silent Night” and “This Christmas”.

In the year 1999 Sarah Connor provided the vocals for producer Marc Van Linden’s dance remix of “Last Unicorn” which managed number 86 on the German Singles Chart. This made her unhappy and drove her to team up with manager Carlo Vista who signed her as Sarah Connor with George Glueck’s label X-Cell Records. She then quit school and left home while she was just 19 years old.

Personal Life

In July 2002 at the Bravo Happy Holidays festival in Rust, Germany, Connor met Marc Terenzi who was the lead singer of Natural, an American boy band. In June 2003 the announced their engagement and were expecting their first child, Tyler Marc Terenzi. The couple renewed their vows on 18th August, 2005 with a wedding ceremony in Altafulla, near Barcelona, Spain but in November 2008 they separated.

In April 2010 Sarah announced her relationship with her manager Florian Fischer and in February 2011 they were already expecting a child, Delphine Malou who was born in September 2011. Check the amazing Sarah Connor posters at our website!


Sarah Connor moved between Hamburg, Berlin and Hannover as she worked on her debut album that involved producers like Bulent Aris, Diane Warren, Toni Cottura, and the duo Tyger and Kay Denar. The album named Green Eyed Soul was released in the year 2001 in German-speaking Europe and gave her two singles “Let’s Get Back to Bed-Boy” and “French Kissing” which was the album’s third single “From Sarah with Love” and was co-written with Brian Lighthouse.

Ten months later in 2002, she released her 2nd album, “Unbelievable” in Europe. Wyclef Jean the wrote, produced and rapped on this album’s lead single “One Nite Stand” which once again was among the top 5. In October 2003, she released a live DVD which was branded Sarah Connor Live – A Night to Remember: Pop Meets Classic. In November the same year she released her third album Key to My Soul while heavily pregnant.

She returned after delivery and produced many other albums including “Living to Love You” in 2004, Naughty but Nice in 2005, and Soulicious in March 2007 among many others.
